Ty, S50 and M50 have the same head and same exhaust manifold, so yes. Only difference is the cams and (obviously) displacement). Which, on a related note, is why some folks call the E36 M3 the 330is.

Totally depends. Anywhere from 300rwhp to 575rwhp depending on the engine displacement and mods.lnlove2 wrote:Todd,

Q1: what sorts of boost can you run on stock pistons int he M50/S50? Aren't those relatively high compression engines?
Q2: what engine management goes with an FI M50? What does that do to the rest of the car ? (Instrument cluster functions, etc)
