I TRIED ORDERING THEIR SI BOARD FOR 90.00, BUT I WAS SHIPPED A CLUSTER BOARD INSTEAD!!! HAD TO FIGHT TO RETURN THEIR SCREW UP. IT IS CLEARLY LISTED AS AN SI BOARD. AFTER ARGUING THAT IT WAS ADVERTISED FALSELY THE VP OF MARKETING(KAREN OR KATHY) HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!! BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!!!!!

By the way: I have been a good customer to them untill now, spending hundreds of dollars in their company and getting a hang-up is what I'm P.O'd about!!

The $90 price does sound way too cheap for an SI board...I have one on order right now from Steve Haygood, it should be here in a few days and I'll report back on how it works.

Make sure you file a Better Business Bureau (BBB) report about this transaction and file a dispute with your credit card company immediately about the charge. They did not treat you fairly and the "hang up" is really poor form. Keep us posted...and good luck!

That's the difference between personal quality service and mass generalized service. What they are showing in the description ( which was prolly scarfed from BMW btw) is unclear. The correct baord to you is 199 exchanged from me(if I am guessing your car correctly. looks like it is 250 at their site) fwiw

As has been said many times; buy from whom you know and trust. Almost all of the big parts suppliers will give you 'generalized' service.

Companies such as Steve Haygood's provide valuable hands on service and help. The large parts suppliers will generally have a customer service rep who may or may not know the car, and may guess as to what one is looking for. Additionally, their sites will generally offer vague info, where again, someone like Steve will offer exact information.

Steve, I'm going to try the new battery solution. I have all the parts I need. All I have to do is stop by my local electronics guru(a lonely 70 year old man who has TV's and osilliscopes piled ceiling high in his shop!!!) If that doesn't work you've got a customer. BTW the car is for sale, so if somebody doesn't mind that problem it's theirs!!
