Up for sale is a 1984 BMW 733i. I'm ready to pass this running and driving project on to someone who can give it the attention it deserves. The car has been off the road for the past 10 years and will need some freshening up, but it has great bones and is mainly complete! I suggest bringing a trailer as the tires are old and the car seems to have a high idle / doesn’t drive the best over 45.
- Specs & Condition:
Color: Sapphire Blue (repainted ~10 years ago)
Interior: Pacific Blue Leather
- Drivers seat has a rip otherwise the rest of the interior is in great condition!
- Has rear headrests
- all interior trim pieces
- All 4 Windows work.
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual – Shifts through all gears smoothly
Engine: 3.2L M30 – Idles a bit high
Mileage: 143,082 - Odometer not functioning
Metric Wheels/TRX Tires: Old & dry but hold air and are not bent
comes with a full set of 5x120 14” bottle cap wheels.
Work Recently Done:
Fresh oil change
Coolant flush
Replaced a few fuel lines and fuel filter
Notable Issues:
Missing Orange Indicator Covers
Missing rear chrome trim around rear glass
Non-functioning radio
Odometer not rolling
Missing spare tire, trunk carpet, & toolkit
Body & Paint:
Repainted about 10 years ago before being parked
Paint could use a wetsand and polish as it has lots of orange peel.
Nearly rust-free body
Undercarriage is solid and clean
Extras:
Clean Carfax - No Accidents Body is straight
Great candidate for a restoration
Willing to provide more pictures and videos upon request
If you're looking for a classic E23 with great potential and uncommon 5-speed setup, this could be the perfect project. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a time to check it out. =19.5px-

Final Price Drop – $2,500

Alright guys, this is my final price drop on a solid E23 example. The interior is actually in awesome shape. Every single interior trim piece is present and every electrical component work on this car. the body is straight, and it’s about 95% rust-free (Basically Rust Free for a Midwest car)

$2,500 takes it. If it doesn’t sell by July 18th, I’ll begin parting it out and taking parts request. I’d really prefer not to go that route, but my 728 could steal a few things and a 5-speed swap continues to call my name.
I just don’t have the time or interest to turn this into the nice cruiser it deserves to be. I suggest bringing a trailer. I wouldn’t recommend driving it more than 25 miles due to old tires and the chance of something giving out from sitting for so long car and also seems to bog and lack in power at 40 mph.
message me with any questions.
car is currently in Chicago, IL

Steal of a deal l. The drivetrain alone is $2500. Hope someone is smart enough to snag this gem. E23's are fun.

Seriously! If I didn’t already own a Euro-spec 728, this would be the spec I'd make nicer. Uncommon color and drivetrain. I believe E23s are seriously undervalued.
