One more front windshiled question - WollothNesch?

Post by gwb72tii »

I'm edging closer to needing a front windshield. Wolloth Nesch lists front windshields for the e28. I emailed them to ask what brand of glass they are selling and they responded they source it from a European OEM supplier, but not who.
Anyone ordered and used their windshield? Comments?

TIA

Having purchased all kinds of spare parts from them many times, I can confirm that they carry reputable brands and no Chinese parts. The windshield brand is most likely Sekurit, Sigla, or Delodur...all OEM but without the BMW logo.

Interested. Definitely in need as well. Did you request a shipping quote? Curious if we could save on shipping if we ordered together. I drive Olympia - Portland frequently.

IIRC, it's Doraglass from Turkey. Bought one several years ago, but arrived in Buenos Aires damaged. A replacement was sent, but also damaged. Everything was paid for by the DHL insurance, so no issues there. Your mileage may vary.

Yes, Duro Glas is another possibility....(Sekurit license)

Windshields would have to be shipped separately for insurance purposes, and cost would be 320 euro

yikes

It's why Schmiedmann got out of the windshield selling business (or at least why they don't ship them anymore).

Thanks for checking and following-up. So 320 euro for shipping on top of cost of windshield?

Cheers!
