WTB Round Female Fog light plug - Found!

Post by DJM1986-5 »

I need two FEMALE (harness side) fog light plugs (round with the "triangle" blade inside)  that are located on the fenders right behind the headlights. Odd request but someone retrofitted fog lights to a customers car and cut these off! Please PM price shipped to Greer, SC 29651. Need at least two inches of wire behind the plug.
thx

If someone knows the part number of this specific connector (male + female), I'd appreciate if you can share it.  Haven't been able to find it in RealOEM, and haven't seen it used anywhere else in the car, just for the fog lights.  Best of luck to you DJM in your search.

I’m getting a few items off a 535 this weekend. Should be an easy get.
Drop me a PM with your info and we will pick it up there.

These are part of wiring harnesses and won’t be indiv parts for the chassis side. The fog lamp side can be any of a few different numbers. This would depend on original E-model usage. The US E28 didn’t have these parts detailed in realoem but maybe some document might have the number.  The length of the wire is the general difference. Here is an E23 part numbe:  63171369498
From:

The length of the E28 wiring allows removal of the air dam without unplugging these connections. Other cars might have a 1-foot wire.

Who cuts these connectors out of a harness? Whyyyyyy?   Ugggh .. I was hoping someone was close to a junkyard with one of those e28s in it.

Hey David,
Well, I tried.

WRT our texts this AM, the latest target had both legs of the harness missing the ends/connectors. Quite frankly, I was very surprised to see that. In all my years as one half of The Pillage People this was the first I had seen it and it sounds from your travels that it is more common than expected.

I'll ping Ray's son Jack. He has a 528 that he recently got to dismantle so don't give up yet.
