Rear m bumper gaps

Post by johanswe »

Hello!

Im about to remount my m535 rear bumper and saw that the bumper on the rear side panels that the bum burr gap is not the same on both sides. The car has never been in a crash and there is no signs of it either. The gap on the right side is like 1 cm gap, and on the left side the bumper hits the metal.

What could be wrong and what is the correct gap? And it looks like i miss "stop buffers" part nr 51711937997 or?

I post some pictures

Check the screws on the inside of the finder to see if they are there, or screwed in.  I have a 88 M5 and have done this.  Sure, the screw head is almost impossible to see or feel.

Thanks

The gaps should be equal or nearly so.  How are the gaps to the bare bumper before the ///M cover is added?
