1986 bone stock 528e. 

I am reinstalling the oem mid section/resonator/catalytic converter. I’m looking for any images or guidance that shows how the main punting bracket near the transmission mount attaches to the bracket that attaches to the exhaust down pie. I think I have the parts but I’m having trouble deciphering how it goes together. The diagram on realms about cryptic to follow exactly. Any images of an oem exhaust and how it’s mounted would be helpful. My car already has part #7 and i believe part #6 is only for manual transmissions (mine is an automatic).  What is curious to me is how part #4 attaches to part #7.


 

 

#4 attaches to #7 via the stud on the latter.

4, with 13 on the bottom clamps onto the exhaust. 7 bolts to the back of the transmission and 4 attaches to it via the stud ShawnD mentioned.
