Interior Temp Sensor Wiring

Post by teh »

Hi everyone,

I have the problem that my heat is either off or on full power all the time. I think I have traced down the issue to the interior temp sensor in the pedal area. The sensor is broken / not connected.

I believe the three pin connector is ment to be connected to the sensor, but the corresponding plug part on the sensor is missing, instead there is just these two wires.

Because of the high price of the sensor, or it simply being unavailable I would like to try to fix it. I have seen pictures of the plug on the sensor having two or three pins. I believe after googling the Bosch part number of mine, it had two (although I don't know why the white plug would have three cables then?)

Does anyone know which cable these two pins need to be connected to? And possibly where the third cable needs to be connected? I need to figure out some kind of alternative wiring or soldering.

Sensors on non A/C cars have 2 pins only:

Brown would be the rearmost pin and blue the other.
