Re: WTB M5/M6 steering box
I may have one for sale in the next month or so. Its currently installed on my car but will likely reinstall my stock box before I sell it. The temps in MD are too cold right now for me to take the box out.

Still looking for an e28 M5 steering box
Re: WTB M5/M6 steering box
I have one for you. Late last year I purchased one to cure a clunk in my steering that turned out to be the more common issue of the broken steering box mount on the front subframe. I welded in the reinforcement, replaced the idler arm, and installed this new box all at the same time. The reason I swapped out the steering box as part of this was that the one I acquired last year only had half the mileage and I had just sent it to Jay Stratton to have it resealed, painted, and the lash adjusted before carrying out the repair. (Contact — Jay's BMW Parts) He did a great job with it and I highly recommend his services.
This one below is the original from my 88 NA spec M5 with 122,000 miles, worked fine, and didn't leak. After seeing what Jay did to recondition the replacement, I would highly suggest sending this one to him to be resealed and adjusted. The fluid you see in the tray under it in the photos is from the remaining fluid inside that has seeped out the holes when it was put in the box.
Asking $1200 for it plus shipping. Paypal is fine, but buyer will be responsible for any added fees. Thanks, Todd

GL! Keep checking eBay because I got one for about $600 and low miles.
