This car was modified when new in 1979, made into an ALPINA by the only certified ALPINA dealer east of the Rockies, Miller and Norburn, legendary BMW tuners. Documentation, very rare. Full ALPINA chassis system FC6. This includes ALPINA lowering springs, shocks, front (21mm) and rear (18 mm, adjustable) sway bars, forged 16 inch wheels (staggered), and front and rear hard rubber chassis mounts. Other modifications done then at Miller and Norburn include a high performance cam, Super Sprint headers, PrimaFlow (Italian) exhaust, and lightened flywheel. 4 speed manual transmission, LSD. Original weak 1979 head replaced with an improved design European head from 1985, using all the original components, rebuilt by experts. BMW factory CB radio. All organic parts (brake lines, fuel lines, hoses, O-rings, anything that could fail, everything!) have been replaced 2 years ago. Fuel pump, water pump, etc. have all been replaced with new. Original paint and interior, nearly perfect, unrestored. Car looks outstanding, spent it's life stored under a cover. Driving this car is a visceral experience of sound and senses. I have driven it over 1500 trouble free miles since mechanical updating. 2nd owner since 1993. Stunning, and simply one of the best anywhere!! Totally original (even the exhaust) as modified when new. Zero pollution controls since new. Powerful performer. Clear title. Time capsule car.

Are you trying to get your post count up for some reason? Is there some kind of newbie post minimum to do something on here now? I'm kind of busting your balls, but I also seem to remember something about a minimum post count in order to create a post on another forum many years ago.

I have a beautiful classic BMW for sale. It was owned by our close elderly neighbors that rigorously maintained the car at BMW of Concord. The leather seats are in great shape as well as the paint. The brakes were bled and tuned up, the clutch is strong and responsive, as well as shifting gears. The car has a sunroof, cruise control, and even a motorized radio antenna. It's worth mentioning that the car has some sort of vapor lock issue, although I haven't run into the problem in a while.
