What a mess F1 qualy at Hockenheim was today.

spoiler alert, I'm gonna mention weather...
There were some stuff going on today at qualy and it made a mess of things even though it was dry. We'll see if this has an effect on the racing tomorrow.

That was a hilarious crazy race, my son and I were watching it in disbelief at the number of tire changes, spins, crashes, improbable passing, and pit lane strategy. As a Mercedes fan I'm disappointed but its refreshing to see such a nutty spectacle!
My only wish was that Stroll had held onto a podium finish. Seeing him rocket through the field when they switched to slicks before the other teams (who were on intermediates) was awesome. He led the race for about half a lap even!

Seemed like every time I left the room and came back, someone went from top 5 to last or out.
Finally had to leave to go RC racing.

I usually love it when it rains as it mixes up the results pretty good. This one was almost a little too crazy for my tastes. But entertaining nonetheless.

Too many SC laps when another car spun out at the same damn corner. Get one of those cranes and use it to make it a VSC for one lap while they hook it up and lift it over the wall.
Too many back and forth from inters to slicks and back to inters but that is weather. If it hadn't been for the lack of removal ability at that one corner the race would have been much more interesting to see how the teams would have handled the weather changes.
