Shipping recommendations, UK to US

Any recommendations on a good company to work with on shipping a car from the UK to the US? Companies to stay away from? Any thoughts on Roll-on-Roll-off vs containerized? I’m thinking port destination of either Houston or east coast (ie near Baltimore) so I can visit family and drive it home.
Car is a 93 M5 I scored on BAT — yeah, I know, it’s not an E28 but I needed one classic with airbags, and driving / working on / owning an S38 has been one of my life goals. Also all the E34 forums I can find are either crickets or spam, I think ive found more useful info on the S38/E34 here than any other forum.
Any help or guidance is welcome
Phil

You scored a hell of an E34 M5 there. Very cool.
Wish I could be more help on the shipping of the car. Good luck.

This one?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1993-bmw-m5-15/ Cool car, and cool paint color.
Maybe check with my28.com member Ovide - he's in the Netherlands but has sold and shipped a number of cars from Europe to the US so is familiar with shippers and customs and all of that. Here's his information:

Yes, talk to Ovide (Ivo). He used NMT Shipping and RoRo to send my 728i from the Netherlands to Benicia, CA. It was a pretty easy process they took care of all the customs paperwork. The car arrived in pretty good shape. My car is not at nice as yours so I'm not sure if you want to use RoRo...however it was side by side with new cars from Europe (VWs and Audis) so it wasn't damaged.

Stuartinmn yep that’s the one. Thanks for the tip, I reached out to Ivo to see if he has any recommendations. I’m taking notes, hopefully this will be worthy of a BaT success story and Roundel article. And a great road trip!
Bonus points, the wife loves the car. I got lucky, and sometimes it’s better to be lucky than to be good

Nice score! Was wondering who picked that car up; good to know it's coming this direction.
I also had Ivo make arrangements for shipping my M535i; like Eric (Kenny B) said, it was pretty painless. One payment to Ivo covered all shipping costs, import duties, and customs fees. I drove it to Zeebrugge, Belgium; it was a roll-on-roll-off ticket to Baltimore. I flew out, picked it up from the port, and drove it home. There were some adventures involved, but mostly on the drives to & from the ports.
Ivo can be a little hard to get in touch with; check his website for contact info.

I wanted to give a quick update - I had been trying to maintain radio silence on the forums as the seller had been a bit challenging, and I didn’t want to give any cause for things to go sideways until the car was in safe possession. I reached out to Ivo and he was wonderful, going far above and beyond - he actually remembered me from buying the last of the Seattle windshield shipment! I can’t give enough praise for how much he helped, especially when the seller started changing the rules over a holiday weekend when there were tickets booked and banks were closed. The debt is so great, if Ivo asked me to paint his house I’d jump on a plane with brushes in hand.
The car is currently in the Netherlands, and Ivo has booked passage on a RoRo to Houston, arriving early August. The hardest part now is the waiting, but there’s a good road trip in the planning. Suggestions for must-see sights, food and beverages or good places to stop between Houston and Santa Fe are most welcome. Bonus points if they are along the back roads.
Cheers!

Get the Butler Motorcycle maps for Texas and NM, it will highlight all the great backroads.
