Come on down to one of the best and most relaxing car shows in SoCal. You can enter your favorite ride and compete in either Clean (Exterior, Interior & Trunk) or Super Clean (Exterior, Interior, Trunk & Engine Bay). Or not, you can just enter as a display only and get your car on the grass. Judging is strict but fair and the judges are all seasoned and extremely knowledgeable in Vintage & Classic BMW's.
Official start time is 8:00am but the true competitors arrive an hour or so earlier to get a jump on the final cleaning (you will get strange looks from the early morning joggers when you drive up the sidewalk and park on the grass, but soldier on). Rags down at 11:00am followed by the judging followed by the auction then the awards ceremony. Food & drinks are available.

A contingent of the usual suspects comes down from LA and the OC and over from AZ the day or two before (this is sort of like a mini-St.Paddy's re-hash).

A day by San Diego Harbor and Bay is never a bad day. And it's all for a good cause.

The SD BMWCCA Chapter announced yesterday that the event was cancelled due to the pending rain storm moving into the area Sunday.

Well, this has got to be a first: a significant rain (and snow) event this late in May. It is actually one of likely three that are moving through out of the northeast Pacific over this week. The first one dumped about 1"-2" this morning across all of SoCal, the second comes Sunday and third maybe is next Wednesday.

Okay, so hot off the presses from Dennis and the SD BMWCCA: The event was successfully rescheduled for:

June 30, 2019

Same time and same place.

Kind of throws a bit of curve ball into my calendar but I think I can make it happen.
I hope everyone else who was planning on going the first iteration can make it.
