The blue bomber has seen better days. 1988 528e Auto, swapped in a decent pac. blue interior. Has somewhere above 200k, odo quit around 165k. The paint is wasted, lots of little dings all over and RUST. Car has more rust than I feel like messing with. Worst is drivers side footwell, rotted through and you can see the body harness just chilling there. I plan on pulling the carpet, wire looming about a foot of it then using some janky patch just to keep it from being totally exposed. And the csb is trashed, got a nice little wiggle when you give it some gas but it’s not a total floor banger right yet.

So the good, it starts, runs, stops pretty much ok, I did recently put rotors and pads on one axle, I think the front? Trans is a little stiff on 1-2 but it’s an auto so yeah. The power windows work, the pass seat works.

Bad is way longer, front springs are cut, never cut the rear cuz I was hauling around 150lbs of bad ass BASS. Drivers seat is stuck full rear(I’m 6’4” and big boned) sunroof leaks so it’s duct taped, really needs a t-belt and water pump because I never did it. Mismatched tires on bottle caps, but the rears are studded snows, radio is wired 12v constant, I just pop the face off. Dash is major cracked but there is a dash mat on there. Trunk leaks and has a hole about the size of a silver dollar in the spare tire well. No toolkit. No floor mats, they got wet and funky. PS hood hinge is busted, i just use the bra to keep everything snug. Sunroof cable has snapped, glove box latch is busted and is zip tied shut.

So basically it’s a pile and I don’t have the time or inclination to mess with it, it sat for the last year or so because I work too much and my back hurts and I’m old. Before that I would drive it occasionally as a backup daily until a mysterious intermittent stalling issue came up. Eventually after a few months of being mad at it it was traced to the obc relay and has been bypassed.

My expectations are low, but I don’t want to give it away for scrap either. I’m reasonable and i think someone could drive it away and do a little maintenance and have an ugly mess as a drivable parts car or daily while they build their monster turbo s38 M5 touring of their dreams.

$600 and she is yours, will throw in any extra parts I have too. $800 on decent e38 style 5s with 225/50/16’s

Wheels for sale separate at $250 picked up with tires, have lame-o red/gold BBS stickers on the centers.

Also have a nice Saab moonroof setup, posted in the parts section and an extra ok Saab moonroof.

Car is located in Alliance OH 44601. Does not have valid tags but a short test drive is possible in my neighborhood. Open to offers and especially trades for a trailer to haul 2 4x4 atv’s. Sorry for the rambling, just trying to be honest.

I absolutely love your ad and style and if it was closer to me (Seattle) I'd find a way to buy it all simply because your ad is so fun and entertaining.

Bad ass bass!

Awesome. Best with sale there's plenty of meat on the bone as a parts car I'd guess.

Bummer it's not October, I'd snap this up for use as a winter beater.

Reminds me, I forgot the blower motor is non operational, I believe to be fuse box related, pulled the old motor and it runs on direct 12v and I think I replaced the resistor or tried to but never was put back together(correctly anyway) :|

One of the best ads I've seen in a long time, here or anywhere. Sad to see so much rust...

I’m just some internet stranger vouching for another internet stranger, but Jaimie is a stand up guy. I haven’t seen this car in about 5 years, but Jaimie is a straight shooter who isn’t trying to hustle anyone. Good luck man!

Thanks Garrett, I feel like a bad parent for letting it devolve into the rusty mess it is.But foundlostart is going to put it to good use.

Uglyveedub, hope this is ok - kinda threadjacking here in a sense and piggybacking on the info that you'd so entertainingly provided :

This car is up for grabs again if anybody is interested, though I should be clear, I'm a different owner than the original poster. I ended up selling the e28 that I was going to do an e to i swap on. Car is as the original poster stated and I'm asking what I paid for it which is $600.

You can call or text me, as that'd probably be more efficient communication than PM, I'm in the east central Indiana area
car has been SOLD
