Then the Black ( Silver) H5S came on the market earlier this year, and although I did not purchase- Geordi was super helpful with ideas, and thoughts- and even told me about a Euro Slicktop shell at Alpinass's, and a dirty M30B34 motor apart- from Cooperman originally out of a euro 82 635csi that might be available too.....HMMMM, this sounds very interesting. This car has excellent patina on the paint and shows a great story of its life, including the side corner markers on it. Speaking to Ahab and Ivo about it- they both had seen the shell and gave it the thumbs up.
The more I learned about the shell, and motor- I knew this could be the right setup for the car I wanted to build. I worked out purchase of the shell and motor from Alpinass, and after talking to him and Geordi about the motor- they both recommended working with Buzzbomb for inspection and assembly. I am sure glad I did, his work ethic, attention to detail, and general sensibility has helped keep this project a reality, and as close to being lower budget as I can be. I can't thank Paul aka Alpinass, Antony aka Buzzbomb, and George aka Geordi enough- These guys go out of their way to do the right thing, between Pauls resourcefulness, Antony's mechanical know how, and Geordi just being Uncle George- I knew I was in capable hands. The plan was to have the motor built, dropped in, started and then shipped over to me for the rest of the work.
