I turned my back on one of us today

There was a ton of traffic through Elysian Park today, turns out some kids had an e36 with "BMW drift stickers " and no bumpers that got stuck on the small hill out of the park. Looked like something with the clutch they couldn't get it to move into gear.
But these guys were almost blocking both lanes, so instead of stopping to help push I calmly maneuvered my ugly yet not stuck e28 to the side and zipped off on my way home.
I felt bad.
For a second, and then I was flying down an empty road with a view and felt much better.

You did the right thing, cars like that shouldn't be on the road.

You're talking about e36s in general, right?

Hey now. Bone stock and slooooowly increasing in value. There are only a handful of us, but we're out there.
For the record, I hate the scene kids and there are way too many of them who give me "props" for driving the M3. I give them my best "Get f!cked, punk!" stare and drive away. Quietly.

Yep, I've no passion for my bone stock 328is, but it beats the hell out of a Toyota for a 28MPG commute car. And a humble one, but still a 6 cylinder BMW.

Before I bought my car, I test drove a local M3 for sale with that exhaust. I'm not really a fan of loud pipes, but gotdamn that UUC unit sounds amazing. If I keep the M3 long enough that it becomes less of a daily and more of project, that exhaust is on the list.

My only regret from the time I had my M3 is that I didn't get that exhaust on day 1 of ownership. Everything that is good and enjoyable about the car is amplified
that much more with the exhaust- it really is that good.
The quality is such that it's not too loud to daily drive at all, in my opinion- it's very civil when you're not on it. Doesn't draw any unwanted attention at all.

Ugh, don't tell me these things. It's already a guilty pleasure that the previous owner added an AFE intake (really, the one deviation from stock)...and I know how good that exhaust sounds. I'll have to pay more attention to the next UUC sale.
