e28 window chrome installation

I managed to get a complete set of inner and outer window from the 32,000 mile e28 part out in the for sale section. Im psyched! Now I just gotta learn how to put these things in...







Can anyone drop some knowledge on me?

the inner chrome trim is very simple.

For inner - You need to remove the door cards and remove the tweeter (if equipped) along with the top trim (where side mirror lever is) then it should be a couple screws.

For outer - The bentley asks that you insert a wooden wedge between the outer door and the chrome strip. THere are metal clips which hold that part and the outer window seal in place. I found that if i moved the window all the way down, removed the side mirror then i could pry the window seal up using a flat head screw driver from the inside of the car. This can be damaging so caution is required.
