So after running the 16" style 5's for over 2 years it was time for a change and I finally came across the wheels I wanted, a staggered set of style 66 wheels from an e39 sport. Wheels are 17x8 et20 front and 17x9 et26 rear with 20mm spacers all around and 205/45R17 Bridgestone Potenzas. The color was not was I expecting when I picked it out and when I first sprayed it I was almost disappointed but it is growing on me. It was supposed to be alot more grey and not teal/greenish at all, just some light hues of blue. For now I am going to enjoy it while I redo the BBS wheels in a new color an find some thicker meatier rubber for those. I know this is not everyones cup of tea (purists...erhmm) but these are the new street wheels only, the BBS will get some 225/45R16 in the near future and be kept for future track days.

Anyway, heres some pics. Photography courtesy of Grant Wilkinson, pics came out great!

Thats one of the reasons that I like these wheels. Dont get me wrong the Style 5's are awesome and I love them but its nice to have something different than mesh/weaves on a BMW, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Thanks for looking!

Wow, those wheels look nice on an e28. If I come across a set I may buy some. Nice photography, btw.

I like the color. Finish looks nice too. Were you hassled by the police for parking on the grass?
Also, did you shorten the sides of your airdam?

The neighbors called the police and reported someone was doing donuts on the baseball field. We chatted with them for a minute and they asked us to leave.

The airdam was shortene to match the bumper tuck. The buck tooth snaggletooth look with tucked bumpers and the IS spoiler were killing it for me. Each side was cut back about 3.5". The front middle vents had to be trimmed a little as well.

I like these wheels, that's why I picked up a set. I am waiting to pull the trigger on tires since they are such heavy wheels...

The color looks great! Consider it a good accident. I've always loved the style 66's as well.
