Well, my attention for normally aspirated engines/cars is just about 90 days. I am approaching 60 days of Ownership and being proactive by listing the car for sale before I grow tired of it. This car was loved by Eric Quon from 1998-2012. I have corrected a bunch of cosmetic issues in my short time with it and added the euro lights, steering wheel and driver's seat.

The exterior/interior of the car reflect a cared for car with 290k miles. It has many paint chips, a few dings and a scrape on the passenger rear wheel well. Otherwise it's a straight rust free car.

The engine runs perfectly. It pulls harder than any s38b35 I have ever driven and as hard as the s38b36 that was in my e34 M5. The tranny shifts nicely but has a noisy bearing at idle. I don't know if this started during my ownership because I have not spoken to Eric about it. It handles and brakes superbly even on the 205 all seasons in the dead of winter. I don't think there is anything to complain about with the performance of the car.

I have priced the car for exactly what I have in it and don't intend to take less. It's worth way more in parts and as much as I want to sell it whole, I will part it if there are no buyers for this special car at this very reasonable price. It can be cheaper if you don't want the steering wheel or driver's seat or even the wheels. I am flexible on how it's delivered.

You can buy this car. Fly in and drive it home. It's trip ready.

This. I'm tired of seeing the white car just hanging out in your garage when I come to visit. Would like this change of scenery.

FYI, noisy bearing is something that developed over the years...

Curious to hear how it runs compared to a M106.

Great package for the money, unique!

It's faster than a stock 745i by a long shot. If I still have it mid April when the Dragstrip opens :D

So, for those who don't know the e23 HVAC system ( ) what does this mean in practical terms, considering the temperatures in Milwaukee this time of year?

Well, it means for South Dakota, you have four months to fix it. :heehee:

Seriously, though, there is a lot of help on the 'net for e23 AC and sometimes it is quite simple. Such as just relocating a piece of plastic rod/tubing. It can be more involved though.

I guess the main question is whether it puts out heat or not. As for the A/C, who needs that when you've got working windows & sunroof?

I bumped into this thread -- http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=81622 -- while digging around for more pics/info on the car; did the holes get patched up properly? (If so, properly by whose definition? ;) ) Any pics of the floor pan repair(s)?

I was unaware of any floor damage and I have not been under the car except to swap the diff.

I wish you would have PM'd me the link so I could have asked Eric about it and edited my post to reflect the repair. Instead you treated me like a noob. :x

This is why I sell parts and not cars.

I completely forgot about this since this is not an issue in So. Cal. and the car has not been driven in the rain since then.

I can say that there is no rust there. When the car was loaded on it's way to the midwest I did provide a picture of the bottom of the car, which is shown again here:

In terms of the HVAC, there is heat. The likely components that need replacing are the thumbwheel component (which contains the microswitch which can be repaired if you are handy) and two vacuum pods which reside under the cowl.

I watched Eric stomp a guy in an sooped up R32 once with this on I-15. Guy didn't know what hit him.

I didn't see anything other than some wrinkles in the floor like it dragged on something. I'll closely inspect for any seriously interested parties. Otherwise I'll drive it until the weather improves.

I bought my E23 745i from Kenny, if I had the space, I'd buy this one as well.

Ohhhh I want those sways.

How is the rear subframe adjustable? I know the KMAC kits only work on early e23 subframe.

It has an Ireland Engineering kit welded to the subframe so the trailing arms are adjustable for camber and castor.

Interesting! The result is nearly identical compared to the dyno run I had done about 8-9 years ago (sorry, I don't have the chart available)...

Given Todd owns the car, that's what happens, so hopefully someone will buy it.
