Hello,

Can someone tell me if wheels with these specs will fit an E28:

Front - 16x8.5 ET10
Rear - 16x9.5 ET14

Only if you trim or pull the fenders, which means they don't fit. The car pictured also has M-tech flares. On a car without them, the wheels he asked about will protrude past the fender lip and any proper tires will rub the fender a lot. So, no, they do not fit. You can make them fit, just as you can make nearly anything fit if you have a cutoff wheel and a welder, but they do not fit a stock E28.

While they were on my car briefly, I sold them because there were almost NO tire options for the size I wanted to run for the rears. And besides trimming/rolling the rear fenders, you would still have to run with significant negative camber to clear the rear fenders. I was not willing to go that far. Too bad, those wheels look awesome.

Thanks, for the feedback. Actually, the wheels are Euro RHs. I did see the Ronal ACTs, but the seller shared the same info and I steered away...

Well, those are the exact same specs as the ACTs, so the same info would apply in regard to E28 fitment.

its an older wheel, i don't what they came on.

anybody know them? they are not in any bbs listing i've looked at.

Ok, same question on fitment on a different set of wheels:

Fronts: 17x8.5 et10 2.5" lips 195/45

Rears: 17x10 et17 3" lips 215/45

You are stretching those tires pretty seriously both front and rear. Stanceworks may be a better site to inquire about those fitments.

Rear fender needs rolling, but will fit.

Will look a bit stupid IMHO with stretched tires, but it's your car.

Actually, I will not be using the tires. I am more concerned with the fitment of the wheels without any fender modifications...Thanks.

Without fender modification 17x8 ET20 is the maximum with 225/45 in the rear. M5/M535i models have factory modified rear fenders.

Just scored some 16x8/9 et35/8 remotecs and really want them on without too much fuss.

My 535 is lowered 40/60 on spaxx and has M5 arches. currently sitting on 15x7 with loads of rubber (205/60 15).

Any advice would help. Can I get a relatively sensible tyre on there with no cutting/rolling?

You'll need spacers. 20mm for the front and 10mm for the back most likely, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

They won't fit without the spacers, those are late model 3-series wheels most likely.

Thanks Jeremy, but 10mm for the back would put me into poke city.

The fronts should be ok with 10-15mm spacers but i want to make the back fit before i start on that.

Kzolee's picture shows some pretty sensible looking tyres and minimal poke on 16x9 et8 at the back. just wondering if there has been any work done to the rear to fit these or is it just a good choice of tyre (hoping for the latter)

You said they're et35. A 10mm spacer puts it at et25. That's not "poke city" for 16x9.
