I did the last items on my upgrade and maintenance list this weekend which was to replace the stock speakers and the transmission mount. Theoretically after today, other than maintenance items, I'll just be driving and enjoying it.
Out with the old...
And in with the new...
I didn't do the trans mount last time the car was up in the air because the tool to R&R the mount was already rented out to another guy.
The kit with the new mount:
Removing the original 1998 mount:
Old mount next to the new one. The original mount was in great shape other than the rubber being really hard.
New mount in:
Cleaned up the belly pans before reinstallation even though no one can see them.
Cleaned and painted the brackets even though no one can see them.
All in all it wasn't a bad job at all. It would have gone a lot quicker and easier with a lift though.
