Almost 100% positive this car was listed on the Maryland Eastern Shore CL a few years ago. I think it had the same tape patched on the driver's seat. Looks better here.

I would have gone with regular gray Duck Tape instead of attempting to match the dark blue seats with the bright blue tape they used. All kidding aside, kudos to them for keeping another old e28 on the road tho! Hopefully it finds a caring home who will spruce it up a bit. The floor mat probably needs mowed by now.

How about a Bavaria with less than 600 miles...

1973 BMW Bavaria - $8000 (Hobbs)

1973 BMW Bavaria 3.0 automatic. Vehicle is in like New condition, inside and out. I bought this vehicle approx 8 months ago, and was a true barn find. It had been sitting for over 30 years. I have done lots of work on the vehicle. New fuel pump, and dropped the tank due to old gas sitting in it for over 30 years. Replaced many hoses that were very frail. I've put approx 50 miles on it, and the odometer reads 573. I believe this to be the true milage, due to the condition of the vehicle and the tread on the tires and a oil change sticker still on the inside window. The sticker says in 1988 the vehicle had 355 miles. This is when the original owner was last caring for the vehicle. The tires have a date on them from 1977 and still hold lots of tread. I was able to obtain the original title. And now have a new clean NM title. The only issue with the car is the front windshield has a Crack, the dash has a Crack where the previous owner tried to unlock the ignition. Could use new battery. I've added new maintenance such as electrical pump, but kept the original items intact as well. Recently the driver side window has fallen off the track, but is not broke. This vehicle has been appraised to be between 6k-16k. I believe it is closer to the 16k mark due to the condition. Make reasonable offer. I will consider reasonable trades of same value. Call or text

I wonder if all the a/c would need is a fresh charge. Also strange that an unused rear seat would shrivel up like that. I spose horse hair will do that on its own.

With a 5 digit odo, that could just as well be 100,573, but more likely 200,573, or 300,573. The car does not look "as new" inside or out. Wonder what the dash looks like underneath the dash pad? Am guessing cracked to hell. And we haven't even seen the engine.

Quite a mix of good and bad going on here. I wonder, why quit after so much work? (must have come to his senses - snapped out of it). Not sure if this should be a turd.

Hmmm...looks like they spent some time on the big ticket items. Here's what I wanna know: How do you get in the damn thing? Through the trunk? Maybe the back seat reclines for ingress and egress? I wouldn't put it in turd category, but the seller would do himself a huge favor by summarizing the time and money spent on engine build, interior, suspension and euro bumpers.

Re-listed, I think he heard you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191907989079 and you're right, it's not a turd. It's something else though with the side pipes. Paint should include flames over them!

The car looks really nice to me minus the obvious exterior modifications. I like the interior and the 533 aspect, but don't understand why you would shave door handles and add a huge gas lid? To each their own, but I'd remove the gas door, smaller wheels, fix the exhaust, and drive it.
