It was such a delight being able to witness my all time favorite car (B9) in the flesh, and what a wonderful example it is!
It was a nice jesture to award me the trophy. I appreciate it.
You earned it. I think there could have been fifteen E12s/E28s there and you would have still won. Anyone who puts that much work into a 528e truely cares about their car and it shows. I'm not sure I know many other member who would work that hard on an 528e.
Rodney - I realize you've probably heard this a hundred times or more, but I just have to say again how great your pictures are from these events. The quality of the images, not only to document the scene, but also the artful/interesting composition shots are just really good. And thanks for including some of the people behind the cars. It makes it feel like we were there for those of us who couldn't attend in person.
We want to thank Rodney and Tim & Cindy as well.
Had a fun dinner Thurs evening at the wing place and got to see Tim & Cindy (who we meet at the Hilton Head Concours last fall) Trey showed up with another black interior car like mine and we joked about how the cars must be talking as they were only 5 VINs apart at the factory.
Good to see Hunter again and Roy W and I were attending Ofest. We only got to do this one thing as I spent Friday driving the Mid-Ohio track in a HPDE. The car ran flawlessly as usual and I only had one OH SHIT!
We had to go home (Atlanta) on Saturday as we had a commitment on Sunday.
Hope to see you guys again soon.

Thanks Rodney and Tim for all your efforts... I guess we can't really call a half dozen e28ers having dinner, some great conversation, and a nice drive, a true 5erFest... but, it was great fun all the same
I guess the days of 50+ e28s and their respective owners & guests showing up for a 5erFest are long since gone... it's really too bad.
I got some great track video from a couple days of DE's at Mid-Ohio. The last session was cut short because an E46 hit the tires and rolled. I got a pretty nice video of that. Give me a bit and I'll upload it.

Everyone east of the Mississippi decided to go the Vintage at the Vineyards route in 2008, along with the financial issues from '07 and '08, it unfortunately "killed" the event. It was evident in 2009, in Tupelo.
Plus, now we have 5erWest over here, and like Shawn said, there's always a "something-fest or a bimmer-something" in California.
