The compressor is fine.
Its the hotside that I feel is too damn restrictive. The inlet to the turbo is what, like less than 2" in diameter. I had a chance to tune MS on a 745i set-up in an e30 about 9 or 10 months ago. I drilled the manifold for EGTs. They went through the roof as boost built above 13-14 psi. I wish I had a pressure gauge in the manifold as well.
