oh my - how long since I have seen a car in this colour.. this is identical to my first e30, an '83 320i in henna red, lost to vandals two years ago :'( I have never seen another BMW (except a florida 2002ti in a mag) in that colour since - the e30's looks SOO good in that orange.. I love that picture!!! And I miss mine

my M535i (535is) in royal blue mettalic Royalblau met. although it looks very dark due to the lighting i think. BKCowGod3's post looks very much like mine though, I'm not so sure thats too dark?!

I have a Kastenienrot 525i in my basement...need to find or take a decent picture.

Found a crappy pic. I also didn't realize someone else posted this color already; I apologize.

I will say that this color looks like crap by this age. My 323i is kastenienrot too...and they both look kinda pinkish orange. I've seen freshly painted cars (or pictures ayway) and it looks much better when it's fresh. Wish I could afford a full restore of the E21 and the E28 right now...

That Saphirblau is a beautiful color! I've never actually seen it before... I'd ask if it were only a Euro color, but obviously the vehicle shown is US spec... How many were made in that color? Where can I find one with Lamma interior!?!?

It is a US spec color, and to my knowledge it was only produced in 1983. I have not seen many of the same color. When I repainted the car in August I ordered the paint from PPG. I also has the Pacific Blue interior, but most of the various shade of blue cars have the tan (Lamma) interiors.

This is an Individual colour....Schwarzblau-Met. 490 from 2 different cars of the same series and model. The first is chassis 114/200 and the second is ~178/200
