Engine timing for dumb people...
First check that your crank is on position O/T
next check that your cam is on this position...
use that square on cam to line it
Then try put your injection pump lock pin to place
Injection pump can be 180degrees wrong.. so if car does not start you can try to turn it...
and remember remove lock pin before you start

Have you considered upgrading to an MLS? Do they make em for the TD's?
I love ghetto 'let's not take ourselves too seriously' style mechanics, that's the most fun. Great projects!

Collector welded for cylinders 1 & 2

New turbine chamber for my turbo, bit larger than old one
Old was a/r 0.63 single inlet, this new is a/r 0.84 dual inlet

Me and my little turbo, now you can realize how large is turbo for 2.4litre diesel engine which have power goal of 350hp
and this turbo actually spools in about 2000rpm

Project continues with new exhaust manifold, finally i got welding machine to adjustments...
It will be something like this...

i will make two collectors more for 1&2+3 and 6&5+4
and i will lift turbo a bit

little fixing in future and it is perfect

Project goes on....
few part where quite tricky to get on right place...
i did little mishap with measurements... so manifold is little bit too far from the engine... but i tried it to the car... and it fits...
i can still make final collectors turned little bit to the engine...
this way turbo will be in correct place...
