Yes, that's why I have gone through 3 of them in such a short time.

But Chris, you've got a fine, above-average example of the species. You will be very happy when the paint and such is done, especially when you've brought the car so far.

By the way, put the Style 5s back on and throw that new airdam on it!

14 years and counting, eh Andy But, now you're at the end of the road on the e28 models.... unless of course you next look for a Hartge or Alpina!!!
Roy,
I don't know if you remember, but my 535is is wearing your old M5 front spoiler and it is still in great shape. And yes, I will always keep my eye out for an "affordable" Hartge or Alpina!

Cheers,
Andy

The only thing I get tired of is the lack of real, useable power/torque avail in current day V8s for more than 535 fuel economy.

I drove a 88/M5 with 75K on the clock at the Dealer in Baton Rouge a couple years ago with the intention of replacing the 533. After one last drive sans salesman, it occured to me that while the M has more power it still unfortunately does not accelerate hard enough to make you grin like a loon. Don't get me wrong, they are really nice cars and excellent asphalt eaters, but you have to keep up the RPM and work it to get the speed out that to me is tiring and visible to the police.

So yes, I do get tired of the car based on it's power supply and thats all, the rest of the car is great. This is the reason I am looking into what will likely be my last engine swap of dissimilar manufacturers, LS-2 and 6sp auto trans into the 88/535.
