Didn't yours pull away from a 335 with ease? I think acceleration times are about the same arent they?turbodan wrote:Theres no way an M20 turbo could get away from an LS1. Its unpossible.

It may have been a 5.7 GTO but it's no bull. I've seen it pull (admittedly) to my suprize an LT1 z28 on the "e" head. Do the math. X amount of boost generally makes X power with X configuration. Launches with a 3.73 LSD. Vehicles weigh this much. Perhaps the driver shifting gears in the other lane is slow to the draw. I will admit that it has a bit more lag from a stop now because we removed and welded on a tooth on the trigger wheel to retard the timing, but it certainly pulls pleasantly from a low roll on. I vividly recall it pulling a new STI as well, but again, consider the power and weight (and pray for no corners).

Come to think of it, I drive an '81 928 with two 2.25 y-pipes into a single open 3" exhaust (it's loud) that I estimate 250ish at the crank. I have a weight advantage (distribution and overall) at about 3150 empty, close ratio 5 speed, and better traction. Last time we raced for fun I got destroyed once he got moving. Need my own forced induction damnit. Tired of building quick cars for everyone else.
