Just a thought after the fact here folks.
If selling or buying an item that isn't ready to ship RIGHT NOW a deposit be used to confirm th earnestness of the offer to buy and to protect the seller from performing unneccesary labor removing car parts for someone who is only "thinking about it".
It isn't fair for a seller to accept someone's money and then sit on it for three weeks.
another poster's idea of not accepting the paypal until the item ships is also a good idea as it eliminates the fees if a refund must be made for some reason.
Ultimately communication is key and this exchange has demonstrated that.
