I did it!
I had to do the "south" option to get clean contact substrate. The car seems to just drive and accelerate smoother.

I also went and had a muffler shop check out my exhaust and found that the aftermarket cat that was on it was completely gutted. Had a new unit installed and I'm very happy with the results. I seem to have lost a bit of "punch" but she sure drives NICE!!

Did mine! Wow!! :shock:

This is the second one I have done but the results were outstanding this time! (I think there was more going on with the last car) I had to go south with mine so it was a little more involved but not much. The power band is now super clean! No more hiccups, stalls, hesitations or dead spots during acceleration at WOT or otherwise. Very nice. :banana:

If you haven't done this you are missing out.

I need to check / do this, and clean the ICV. But both seem intimidating to me...

Same here. I've had the DIY bookmarked since I had my e30 (over 2 years ago now) and I just haven't coughed up to cojones to do it... :gulp:
