And this is why this site is going downhill. The few people that feel that since they are "veterans" and can say whatever they want drives people away from this site and towards the much larger and more active FB groups.

And I'm sure some "veteran" will respond with something along the lines of "Let them go, I never get on FB, or who cares". Well you should care, as less traffic makes less likely that someone will pay to continue to host the site.

Listen to beamters, know the rules, be respectful of the "veterans" because they are the ones who offer the most help. otherwise you'll get nothing out of this site.

facebook has no control and that's fine, people who spend no time researching and just go straight to posting belong in facebook. (help plz car don't start). just because they're too lazy to join a real forum or they just bought an e28 and they'll own it for one season before just selling it.

The true people who want to share useful information and help people come here. everyone's guilty of being a noob here at first but stick through it and know when to stop and you'll gain respect.

That's not how things work. Sure there is less spam here and much better DIYs, but how many active members are left here? How many new people sign up for this site and participate? Ignoring where people go now for information is akin to burying your head in the sand.
