I bought an original Hartge dead pedal for 186.00 on ebay and a valve cover for around 300.00 on ebay..... ofcourse that was more than 10 years ago.

My friend just sold one like this for 4K. One could easily spend 30k to completely restore. I tired to buy it but I was to far down the line.

I would say 45k to 55k with complete blue printed engine, nuts and bolts etc. Could get to 60k
I guess these are getting harder to find.

Hey Guys!
I bought this car. I know its an ambitious project, but I like her! What can I say.
I traded a 540 wagon and $. The wagon wasn't getting used and I've been wanting an unusual E28 for a very long time. My last one was a 88M5.
My first plan is to really dig into what I have here and start making a list. Then I will see if I can make it run properly without too much repair.
I will sit on it for a year and save for a complete restoration hopefully.
I know theres going to be haters about the condition or authenticity of this car, but thats okay!
Taking my chances on it and hope to make a really fun car out of her. Every old worn out girl needs a good home

I called and talked to owner for about an hour.
knowledgable german shop owner. He has some crazy imported rare cars over there.
The bahama beige H5S was formerly owned by one of my good friends before it was restored in the early 2000s and I've wanted one ever since that time.
This one shows it was born as Polaris silver. I will do as much research as I can and it'll probably go back to silver.
There's another polaris silver H5S in Maryland. I believe there are less than 7 H5S cars in the states.

The Bahama car was restored in 2010 or so. Not sure where it went after Ron sold it. The Polaris car from MD is in Florida now. There's also a blue one in Portland, Oregon that was found in a parking lot in Las Vegas. Trey has a Petrol (Porsche color) in Michigan. Someone is rescuing the black H5SP that was in a field once belonging to a member here and of course there are Justin's and Adrian's cars. Probably floating around but not many.

When you get the car, please start a thread in Eye Candy so we can see your progress!

I pulled the air dam and bumper off to protect it for now and for ease of getting it in air.
car runs fantastic now that I treated the fuel and crank it daily with fresh premium.
I drove it around the neighborhood a couple time and lost clutch pressure, so crawled underneath and found the leak.
needs all new fuel lines and master cylinder before driving it. hope to have this done within the next week or two.
I've been calling around a getting estimates for body and paint.
Going back to Polaris Silver.
The wheels are in good shape but need a repaint. missing center caps and valve cover.
car is surprisingly complete.
i believe this car was ordered radio and AC delete.

Maybe the New owner Just wants a New Toy to have fun with? Even if he did put $$$ Into the car. its His money not yours, so Kick back with your favorite cold can of PBR with that blowup doll you call Christina and live life.
