The last time the OP responded was mid-Sept, just wondering if responses that "I'm in for one" are assumed to be a confirmed order.

Not yet. I'm really hinky about removing that last layer of protection. I'm going to have a safe place lined up before I unwrap it, as it won't be going in until the old comes out and I repair the rust that has crept out from under the rubber (and hopefully not in the frame).

Very sorry I did not contact you after receiving mine. It arrived in perfect shape and is now waiting indefinitely for install. I was told your packing job was very good. :D

Are you making enough profit per unit to cover all of the packing material and time you are putting out?

well if it isn't too late, I will take one if this turns into a larger order. Come to find out my windshield is leaking very badly (thanks P.O. for not knowing the importance of quality glass). Shame too, as it is literally less than 2 months old

It was indeed a very good job.

That's something I mentioned to him awhile back. He deserves it for the money and effort he's made here. I for one was openly wondering whether my project was going to be ruined by the nonexistence of properly-fitting glass.

I'm glad your windshields showed up safely. Hopefully there aren't any casualties awaiting.

Mine had a snapped corner. I wasn't there when the box was delivered, and the packing was so truly impressive that I didn't open the box for a couple weeks. Then I noticed that there were a couple non-original holes in the box. I stuck my hands in the holes, and all seemed fine underneath, but when I opened stuff up and unpackaged everything, a corner was shattered. The irony is that from that point on, I gave zero shits about handling the thing (it was toast, so who cares?), and not a single scratch was suffered and not a single additional crack. It must have taken something pretty serious to snap the corner.

Anyhow, I'm angry with myself for not opening sooner, etc. Lesson learned, I guess. In the unlikely event that there will be more units available to buy before about May / June 2016, please let me know and please put me back on the list. Sigh.

Well, you'd be amazed at what UPS managed to do to mine. A real shame but I'm glad they took responsibility and paid up.

For now it looks I will be able to get these windows:

Green
Green with green stripe
Bronze
Bronze with blue stripe

Prices:

$190
$200
$210
$220

There is a large batch coming in before the end of the year.
I will ship most of them over to LA before the St.Paddy's meeting in San Diego

Regarding the bronze windows, I will also ship over all the rest of the windows so one can convert their E28 to a full bronze equipped E28 like all >528i's came standard in Europe (at least for the German and Dutch market)

Let me know if you're up for one, and I will put you on the list.

Ovide, it might make sense to start a new thread so as not to get two different windshield options confused.
