It's always the bread from BK that throws me over the edge. You'd think a chicken sandwich wouldn't be bad...enter the dried out wafer board that serves as a bun. Ugh. Naked "chicken" it is then, with disgusting warm lettuce slopped in what they call mayonnaise.
And why when you eat sub-par beef from a burger joint, that the little hard unchewable bits always end up rolling around in your mouth? Or you chomp into a bite and sense it, quickly swishing it away, as if to deny its existence? What are those bits anyway? Bone? Cartilage? Nasty is what I call them.

I usually do option 2. I think they're solidified fat and cartilage. Used as filler.
All things are relative. No, not anorexic, but it may have appeared so. Being from the center from the universe, there's no possible way to comment on this thread without coming across as the ultimate food snob... hahaha...
But seriously, chains generally suck ass. Nevertheless, I am NOT a food snob and I will not fault anyone for driving drunk in the middle of the night to a Taco Bell or White Castle to absorb the alcohol and help them satisfy their attack of the munchies...
Nevertheless, even when I'm outside of NYC, I try my best to avoid chains -- not because restaurant workers ejaculate on the lettuce at the salad bar at Olive Garden -- although I think they do -- it's because I always prefer to patronize local businesses than big corporate food chains. They are more likely to care about their customers and their employees and the food is always better. Whenever I drive from NYC to Hilton Head Island now, I try to get off the highway to find decent food since all along I-95 is dog food...
