So far I like the car.
One thing is the car make it so an idiot can drive stick. It has some awesome hill hold assist feature so when you take the brake off on a hill, the car doesn't move. You just drive away normally.. Totally awesome for a daily driver.
I will post a better picture when I can get the car clean again. Its been a messy week.
Patiently waiting to see it,this weekend over beer and pizza!

SWEET VEEDUB...speaking of VW, who has experience with VW aircooled engines being used as airplane engines? A buddy just contacted me and said he has a new old stock VW engine from an aviation application...i'm going to pick it up tonight or tomorrow.
Edit, I picked up what appears to be a Limbach L2000 smal aircraft engine. Sweet.

Some poor soul, excited about his new rimz, posted this photo hoping everyone would applaud his purchase.
Sadly, the responses were less than congratulatory but my favorite was this one.
Did you use a vibrator as a tripod?
It's been a couple of hours since I read that and I still giggle thinking about it.

Maybe because a lot of them are 17 and think it's cool to spend more on adapters than maintenance?

Oh the VW crowd...
I actually started my German car life in a VW (after my first which was a crysler, but really it was a mitsubishi, lolz, Kohlers bff jill said so)
Anyway, I went on to own 3 shitty VW's and then finally one decent Mk1 GTI with a 16v swap. Built for the track. I loved it.
On to why I really posted. There is a decent size VW show right down the road from me every year put on by MIVE (michiganvw.org - pretty dead these days). Here are some low photos from the more recent shots in which I have not attended.

Top Gear UK did a similar, but no where near as in depth, back to back comparison a few years ago, comparing 80's vintage cars against their newer versions.
