Here is my setup. I am in Mayer, MN
Mine is still very much a work in progress, I am still learning about tuning and all that. This build is being done kind of on a budget.
1985 BMW 535i
Turbo/engine related stuff:
M30B35 swapped (from an E32), all stock internals
ARP head studs, O-ringed block (with copper wire), stock HG
Turbo manifold from a German company on Ebay called "team2fast" or something, actually quite high quality
Summit Racing brand 44mm wastegate, currently an 11psi spring in there
Currently no boost control, besides wastegate (next step is to use a manual boost control and tune some more)
Holset HX35 turbo from a 5.9 Cummins, aftermarket turbine housing (without integrated wastegate)
2.5" exhaust from turbo, no emissions control
MS2 DIY, wasted spark (running three coils), speed density
Generic ebay intercooler (front mount)
Summit Racing brand BOV
GM 5.3 LS throttle body, running the GM IAC and TPS, (I welded a mounting plate to the M30 intake manifold)
Ebay GM style generic throttle cable
Innovate wideband O2 sensor
Other stuff:
Pontiac Trans Am GTA wheels (machined to fit), 16x8, 225/50/16 on rear, 205/55/16 front
Home made front coilovers w BMW E30 iX Koni yellow shocks, shortened shock tubes, Eibach springs, Ebay camber plates
Pieced together rear coilovers w QA1 adjustable shocks, Eibach springs
Solid poly bushings everywhere, engine, trans, subframe, control arms
Chassis mounted shifter
NRG racing seats (I know, budget)
5-pt harness
No interior
Battery relocated to trunk
Quick detach steering wheel, all sourced from Ebay
Ebay GM style aluminum radiator, no overflow tank. Has a TON of cooling capacity, probably way oversized.
Spal 16" puller fan jammed in tight
DIY home paint job with a GM color, that turned out not terrible.
I am trying to get the tuning right, and plan to add boost control and get the boost up to ~20 psi and get everything dialed in. Right now the rear tires are the limiting factor, it just spins in 1st and 2nd gears. Plan to switch to 245/45/16 rear tires. No idea what the power output is, but seems like it should be more than 300 hp but probably less than 400 hp.
Here are some pics.
Kinda crummy resolution on this one:
