Someone should jump on the opportunity to own a rare car in such good condition. How cool is it to see an E28 with manual windows front and rear? And a warning triangle in the trunk? And the cloth interior? And, and, and...............
Bump.Back to page one from page 3. Been to V@V,Saratoga and PVGP this summer. Can someone tell me why I am selling my M535i? Oh I know. It's the other car I bought. The feedback that I have received is very positive about the car but people are a afraid of buying it until the 25 year rule comes into effect next year. Oh well I guess i'll have to store it for another winter. Ted

Have to wait until the right butt and price meet. Then it will happen.

25 year rule is killing Ted's market. Once it's exempt from Federalization it will sell.
Bump from the bottom of page 4. Price is $14,000 US or best offer. As Ron P suggested you now have your choice of 16" BBS RX with new rubber or 17" E39 Style 5's that need rubber. I am willing to drive the car into the US as long as its a 1 day drive. I also understand that my car can be plated in Maine or New Hampshire with a lost title after their 15 year rule. Once it is plated in either state it is legal to sell it to anyone in other states. Of course emissions testing may apply so check with your state of residence. Cheers. Ted

Not sure what the normal process is, but for what its worth the lost title process is pretty painless in MI too. I've done it a few times. I'm guessing you could get this car a title and plates here pretty easy.
And Detroit is just across the river from Windsor.
Okay so here is the final price drop. $14,000 US or best offer plus airfare back to Buffalo or T.O. whichever is cheapest. The car is now legal to bring into the US. It is advertised on the BMWCCA.ORG website and will be in the March,April and May issues of Roundel with this price. I can drive the car down for anyone that may be considering to buy it. I also have connections to getting the car registered in Florida easily. If it doesn't sell by Vintage then it will be there. It will also be at 5erFest in Pittsburgh in July. PM me with any questions along with your phone number and I will contact you via a land line.Cheers. Ted

Bump back to page #1. It will be at Vintage this year for viewing.I will be staying at the host hotel so don't be shy to ask and talk about the car or for that matter even make an offer. Ted in T.O.

Correct. Saratoga is the weekend before PVGP(July 21 to 24) and Vintage is at the end of May. I will be at all 3 events with the M535i until it sells. If it doesn't then back into storage it goes for another winter. Ted

So offer him $13000, and buy a harbor freight garage.
I hate lachsilver, but Ted's car is the nicest example you could hope to own.

She will be at Vintage with For Sale signs on it once again for those that are interested. Hope to see all my old friends once again. Cheers.Ted in T.O.

If only I had a garage and $14k.
I can't even come up with $1000, and no bank will loan me that kind of money for a car that age. Not to mention now is not the time to buy anyway when I am aiming for a house next year.
