Hey Peter, will VE Live and the latest addition of TS work well with MS1 or is this just a thing for MS2?

I've been meaning to talk to you about upgrading anyway.

Just curious how the VE Live works with the code and tables that all. Remember, MS1 uses smaller tables.

I wondered this too, and from what I am reading an upgrade from ms1 to ms2 is this.
Automatic Mixture Control: This updates the VE table(s) based on EGO feedback as you drive, tuning the engine automatically.

Since Ve live analyzer is using ego feedback, to correct the fuel mixture, i'm not sure how it would work at all with your setup. I would like to be corrected if i'm wrong, just trying to learn.

Ms1 you get to work with 8x8 table instead of a 12x12 (ms2).

I don't see how smaller tables would affect it, but ms1 does not use ego feedback? I would think thats the main problem. I

Ego feedback?
Ok, I see what you're asking. You have edited your post.

You do not need to set authority for ego to have live tune work.
I personally turn that crap off while tuning anyway.

If you don't use ego corrections, live tune won't care if
you keep authority at 0.

How would it do anything without EGO?

Yes, MS1 has ego correction and you set the authority control much like you would with Ms2

Idk exactly but just a guess.
Because you're not using it.
You're using VE live tune.

Well if this is the case, just try the new tuner studio. I can't even think of a conflict you would encounter when reading the changes from ms1 to ms2, if you have a good saved msq, then you won't hurt anything by giving it a try.
