I think you'll be happy with the Spax. If you don't remove the Hartge spoiler, the first steep driveway will! In all reality, it would probably survive if driven carefully and you make a conscious effort to avoid situations that would damage the spoiler. Years of driving low cars make you good at it.

I have a beautiful set of staggered style 32's in the attic. I was keeping them because I have the wheel disease but after seeing them on your car I am going to re-think their attic status. Did you trim or roll the fenders?

It is a shame to think the spoiler would have to go because it is nice.

Thanks a lot! It does turn heads, but all of the positive attention is kind of worrying sometimes...

I rolled the fenders with a bat, but above 50mph it will still rub the left rear fender (255/40s in the back).

Good to hear - you've had them for a while now.

I can't drive slow/cautiously enough to protect the spoiler, so it will be coming off pretty quick. Same reason I'll be getting a skidplate first.

If I can find one, I'll be going for an M5 lip.

Yup, I'm working on getting a set of euro bumpers and I wouldn't install the hartge until I get my hands on them. Once I get the pieces I'll probably make a little thread. I was throwing around the idea of running a hartge with the lip painted black like this:


My car is shadowlined too so I think it would look pretty sharp.
