The rubber strip is the original Euro bumper rubber strip, all of the "metal bumper" is removed and the strip is "glued" onto the car with Windscreen adhesive, its a flexible and convincing glue you can remove if you one day decide to put the original bumpers back on.344i wrote:Mats,
what kind of rubber strip is that? that is EXACTLY what I need for my e28!
Thanks Mats, I understand perfectly. Btw, does the $2200 include shipping to NA?Mats Kinnby wrote:Sorry guys, I´ve been out on a trip lately and had no chance to reply.
So, here we go:

Its poweder coated BMW Alpine White and then wet-painted centre to black.

Since its too long without the metal bumper inside, it needs to be cut in half, and fitted from each side until they meet in the middle in the rear. It was possible to do with a good result once you take your time doing it.
In the front its the same story, no bumper, just the strip.
The euro bumperstrip is straight from the beginning, and kan be bent anywhere on the length as you wish, inside of the strip there is a metal bar, so its possible to straighten it out again and bend it in some other place instead.
I hope you understand what i mean![]()
So, since the Polizei E28 is up for sale, anyone interested?![]()
We have also got the uniform now, and its included in the price of $ 2200:-
We are planning to do a car chase movie with a second E28 shortly (on a public road) with a shitload of cameras mounted on both cars and beside the road. We will be using all of the blue and flashing lights including the siren, and of course we need to have "look outs" cause if the real Mr Blue decide to show up... Then i wont be able to write in Forums for a while i guess...
The wheels alone are worth over half of what you are asking, so it's no wonder actually.Mats Kinnby wrote:344i wrote: Btw, does the $2200 include shipping to NA?![]()

I will consider ithaha.
Actually, the interest for this car has been beyond expectations, even though its a 3-speed automatic 184 BHP car, but i guess that this seems less important due to the Polizei apearance.
I did just that myself, the 520i police cars in Octopussy have the south german decor though, with the whaist line, same as on the E34 above in this thread. The one I made is the early model and seen mostly in North Germany from 1982-1985 i guess.Roberto wrote:Just saw the bond movie, Octopussy and in it there are two of these sweet police e28's. I re-wound it like five times haha
Haha, i take it you like the cars I´ve made so far... Sure, ship over to Sweden and I´ll make it a Patrol car for youirvinghightower wrote:I love your work, is it possible for me to ship my 528e to you and let you make a masterpiece of it??? lol

I am currently casting the Alpina B7 turbo front airdam for the Polizei car, and it will be equipped with a mirrored "Polizei" sticker in the centre...
If its for anyones interest, i do manufacture Euro Alpina front airdams for the E28 and could manage to ship them over to the US if the interest and quantity is big enough.
Thats the next step, I have two "Go Pro Cameras" which is mounted on the outside of the car, and also normal video cameras to record the drve by action, we will soon record a chase between a E28 535i and this Police car, of course it will be posted on MyE28.comBMWgiant wrote: All we need now is a reenactment of that scene from Octopussy!
