well, I put a feeler back on CL after a few months of ownership. I still love the car, but see no real future in the car as it has some rust I don't want to deal with. It's not That bad, but it is all over. It is solid where it counts, but it would be redundant to try to restore the car. I want to instead focus the money I have into it to buy a nice laptop to tune my 535 turbo project and to invest some $$ into the W140 Mercedes I already have. I hope folks can understand the increase in price for my time and parts. It would be nice if I could get that, but as we should all know, craigslist is a good place to find cheapskates and lowballers.

I hope I am not asking too much, but I guess that depends on the seller. If anyone here takes interest, I am willing to take $1800 for the car without the wheels (with steel wheels)

wow, just one scammer sent me an email. I think I will keep the car and slowly work at it. as for the w140 benz, F-that car, I checked up on a code for a non functioning air flow meter and found some seriously falling apart wires. OOF! I replaced the wiring harness with a good one from the junkyard. i can't imagine what other portions are deteriorating.
