Whoa. Aux Fan Jigga What?

The new fan arrived and quality does appear to be good... how ever the connectors do not match? The new fan has round pins on the connector and the original fan has flat connectors?

Is this due to the fan being that weird unknown BMW part number? Is it has simple as splicing in the old connector? I would think so but would like to get some feedback before hack up the new fan.

I doubt that fan has a BMW part number if you bought the one in the listing.

Thanks for the reply... I was referring to the original fan; the new one definitely does not have a BMW part number . It would appear that the connector should be able to be spliced in with no issue.

The fan is much more solid than what I pulled out.

Maybe with e28s there were more than one type of fan and connector used depending on the year... that's how it is in e30s. I've seen 2 different fans (Flat blades/rounded blades) and 3 different types of connectors in oem configuration. I would leave the chassis plug alone and splice the connector from your old fan to the new fan.
