He found and recommended the engine builder and talked great stuff about him. It was Todd who took the engine to this builder, who he still has not told me who it was, returned the engine and then installed it. The additional $5.5K was for R&R of the engine. Now wasn't that a great deal. YES, the bill was over $8000 for the work that Todd did, this DOES NOT include any TCD equipment.

The S2 kit was a different amount on money.

Yea, I blame myself for not listening to my inner voice telling me that Todd did not have the experience to fix my engine...it was right.

First, I am going to apologize to everyone who has purchased parts from me and paid more than Duke. He received pricing at cost for some items and at a significant discount for others. I did this in consideration of our friendship at the time and that he was having this done for a second time.

Here is the invoice.

I paid over $8K. TT has the origanal invoice and I will get it from him.

Well boys it's been fun but it looks to me like it's time for another hiatus.

This used to be a place I went to relax and either B.S. about automotive shit or try to learn something and share the somewhat small amount of useful information I might have. Now it just gives me a headache and unnecessary stress. Forced Induction has always been where I lurked. Even on Roadfly prior to Mye28 where I watched PatP collect parts and build some awesome shit. It took me a really long time to be able to participate in this forum and this shit pisses me off.

This thread was started to pass on the information as to the final problem of the engine. It was new information. It turnned out not to be a crack in the block that many people felt it was.

Facts are not slander. Think about that.

So we now know that the block was not flat when it was delivered to TT. We do not know when it went from flat to wavy. But just for discussion's sake let's say that it was not flat when I installed in your car.

Does this mean that the RA had absolutley nothing to do with the problem?

What about the radiator?

The coolant reservoir cap?

What about the MLS itself?

How about recommending taking it apart and spraying it?

Let's start a discussion about the structural integrity of the block. It was a used 745i BMW test block that was discarded, correct? The cylinders were out of round when the car was delivered to me. Was/is the block sound? Could it be flat one minute and wavy the next? hmm
