107 at my apartment today. 105 downtown by the river where I work. Portlanders do not have A/C, as a rule.

That's a rule I'm happy to break. No A/C in my car, but the house is chillin'.

102.5 F in the shade outside my front door. Inside the house the window air conditioners I installed yesterday are making me very happy, 76 F at the computer desk!:D

I keep an a/c thermometer in the center vent all the time; went out to the car (parked in the sun) and it read 140 degrees!

That's why you don't want to leave dogs (or kids or grandparents) in a parked car! Yes, I've seen all 3...

I saw 111 on the OBC today while at speed. Not stuck in traffic, not after I'd been parked for a while, etc. I'm the one that's always whining about being cold and how lousy our weather is here in Santa Rosa, but wow, it's smokin' out there today. Last summer was so mild, I felt like we never got summer, but today is a scorcher. That's ok too, just totally out of character for the area. Did see 126 after having been parked for a while, but that's obviously a bogus reading. But I think 111 is a good one, or accurate at least. Sitting here in my home office the thermometer (which may or may not be accurate) says 97. Ouch, I'm all wet even with California's humidity, or lack thereof.

A/C charge on the car is a little low, so it warmed up some at idle, but plenty cool enough at speed or a brief light. Temp gauge never budged from it's normal spot. But hey, it's a good hot weather car isn't it?

A blistering 93 degrees yesterday. And about 3 hours of that was spent practicing softball.

Some of us don't have OBCs or thermometers, so I had to pull that from weather.gov. Only supposed to be 88 today though...

It has been crazy. Woodland Hills was 119 yesterday, which might be an all time record for the LA basin. By my house, it was 105 with nearly 40% humidity. It was oppressive. I had chili fries at Tommy's in LA at midnight and I was sweating (it was about 85 degrees).

Today there were at least 2 hours of thunderstorms in the morning (usually they are gone after half hour) and on top of that, a 3.6 earthquake about 20 miles away!

I don't want to see my electricity bill this month...

Min high temp this month 109. Max, thus far, 117. And that is with winds gusting up to 30 knots. Pisses me off, screws up my satellite picture.

You guys have no idea. Do you still wonder why I am pissed off most of the time?

The SE Texas Gulf Coast had an unusual hot/dry spell in early June, but the weather is back to the norm. Typical July weather has been mid-high '90s , humidity HIGH, 30-50% chance of isolated afternoon thunderboomers.

The OBC Temp function in my new to me Faux M535i/A typically indicates in the low 100s for the road temps. Temp gauge never goes above 12 O'Clock in traffic, while it's a cool / dry 75 inside the cabin.

I know how you feel. Spent the summer of 85, 96, 2003 and 2005 over there. I guess I got aclimated. The winter is not bad, you just miss the holidays at home. Stay safe and cool.
