Proof that they dont make em like they used to (E28 vs E38)

I thought you said the parts I had were different? I have 2 LKMs in the E34s.. me info says they should be compatible.

At the time I was looking for a "mustard relay" which is a different beast. I was unaware that the LKM was needed.

Dad has a couple he brought back from the yards in Germany, BUT they don't run his center brakelight. The USA version that came in the car has some sort of fault in it that makes the RF park/marker lamp inop. We have yet to figure out the fix, or how to rework the euros to activate the third brakelight. So it seems expedient to find another USA model...

I ran across an 89 E32 750 a few months back in someone's yard.

She was asking $3500 and it only had 65K or so on it. Very, very, nice. I test drove it, and it was obviously lacking in power and had a fault code. Came home, researched a bit on the fault code, and discovered it was probably only running on 6 cylinders and "might be" a simple resetting.

I decided to pass; but it was so tempting as nice as it was.

Two weeks later, it was in the paper for $1800.

They're so tempting when they're that pretty and cheap -- yet have that "bad reputation", aren't they?

Yeah, I know I'm missing another 'cross but my wife is away and I have both kids. Also. I am going to do the welding/rebuild of the project car tomorrow. I'm moist with anticipation.
