selling my 1988 E28 M5. This is a rust free Car that spent the majority of time in Atlanta. Only 139k miles. This is the third rarest BMW ever made. They only made 2191 worldwide and only 1239 were brought to the US. They took the race based engine from the M1 and put it into sedan making it one of the fastest cars you could buy at the time! Still is an incredible performance machine today. These were hand built at the BMW Motorsports factory in Germany.

Many many serious tasteful upgrades

Interior is in excellent shape. Front and rear seats are redone and a crack free dash. Body is rust free and in excellent condition. Drives very strong, true and tight. I am asking $53,000 for this Rust free, original BMW M car from the 1980's. These cars are getting harder and harder to find in this shape and they are very desirable as they are the first, and many consider, the best M cars BMW ever made. Or people like me had really nice ones a few years ago that NOBODY WANTED, even for as low as $1000, so they went to cash for clunkers. I still feel horrible about it, but there was no way I could keep it.

Or people like me had really nice ones a few years ago that NOBODY WANTED, even for as low as $1000, so they went to cash for clunkers. I still feel horrible about it, but there was no way I could keep it.

Agreed, that's what I'm starting to notice. Even parts cars are posted rarely because there just aren't many left out there.

I absolutely love how the quarter side markers are in the rubber fill strip.

That car has had to have been painted, the front spoiler is worn on the edges with no paint chips.

Really nice car.

There's a 5 speed e32 732i I was trying to buy today on c-list. Seller and I couldn't come to terms on price. I had asked the guy 20 questions and he knows the car. Say's his uncle imported it in 82, he got it 4 years ago after it sat for 5 years. Done some work to it. Needs brakes/suspension, tires to carry on. I did pull a carfax service history report on the car. Had a oil change back in '98 when the car had 228k miles. It has "about 180k" now.

Still, a euro swede 5 speed 7 series for a grand.

Just trying to do my part for "wasting" the sellers time. I want to pay $750. I'm driving a 95 thunderbird today, the stator in the torque converter is going south so it's going to trash the transmission at some point.

I would just rather drive a e24 for the winter, but my car is far too clean for that so I have to find a winter car. Spreading the word for a unique car for sale.

Rust-free '87 535is 5-speed near Altoona, PA. Claims to be the first 'is' built, and in a supposed unique color combination. Looks to have an M-tech spoiler kit. This has been on CL for a while now. Price is down to $3,500. The engine bay photo makes me think this car had some care given to it. The dash even looks good.
