Ive never been so happy for someone and wanted to cry so badly at the same time..

The highly tuned engine in an M5 is nowhere as hardy as the M30 or even the M 20. The timing chain and guides are tender, so are the lower end bearings. I wouldn't be revving that engine until you did some diagnosis.

Oh Cincinnati... land of Skyline Chili, the Eastside vs. Westside, an outstanding zoo, the Bengals (Who Dey!), some incredible private car collections, the standard social profiling question "Where did you go to high school?" (St. Xavier here), Goetta qualifies yes Hunter (even though it's made out east - odd), can't forget the Reds, or how the Grateful Dead was eventually banned from playing there even though Jerry's last wife was native...and also the land of seemingly good M5 deals. I'll be back there to my stomping grounds in the spring to pick up another myself.

Congrats to the new owner of two M5's and spare engine. Even at two times the $8k price it can't be a bad deal. So seller, who's the bee-yatch that tipped off your ex in such a short amount of time? Sounds like it must be a dude. Weak.

I wish I picked them for 8k, but stuff happens, prices rise, I still came out alright!
