Any way to do that that doesn't involve 70-hour weeks, and I'm all ears.

The baby-boomers are now hitting their peak and will be croaking rapidly in the next 10/15 years

This is a grave error (pun intended). Baby boomers are 65-70. They're going to croak very slowly over the next 10-15 years, and more rapidly over the following 10 years, consuming exponentially growing medical resources to keep them alive all the while. The wealth transfer is young to old--or more properly, future to present--as I and my peers take on an enormous national debt burden to keep the oldsters in their white shoes for another day at any cost, because we aren't allowed to talk about cost/benefit because death panels. Factor in that the Boomers outnumber all us working folks, and it's a bigger problem still.

Go ahead and get 90-y.o. grandma that whipple surgery. It's the least you can do. Just keep her car in good shape for us.

That's correct. I was rounding for simplicity and focusing on the oldest few years of the generation. You make my point even stronger, though; there is a huge population becoming elderly and it isn't a short-term thing.
