That sweet interior probably came out of the M535i that was wrecked last year as it's the only one I've seen with Taurusrot and ///M badging. Seems to have had some good work done to it though. Will be interesting to see where the bids get to.

Is it Taurusrot? Ad copy mentions Cardinal, although the seller could be mistaken. I, too, find them easy to confuse sometimes, especially depending on the photos.

Ebay info states Taurus which it looks to me. Definitely not Cardinal.

I know for a fact that interior, along with some other parts on that car are from the wrecked m535 you are speaking of. Very nice car dying for a euro front valance though!

Can someone identify the switches to the right of the headlight switch?

The two button switch is the Euro fog switch. Controls both front and rear fogs. Next to that is the headlight aim adjustment which likely either isn't hooked up or doesn't work since none of them do.

E- 32 1990 BMW 735I 5 speed manual. lowered on e-34 m5 springs. I was fortunate enough to have come across 1 of under 1000 e32 5 speeds brought to the usa... Unfortunately, the body of that e32 was in bad shape so I used the transmission and all 5 speed parts from that e32 to convert this clean e32 into a 5 speed. runs and drives. has a small drive line vibration. also has a new water pump, plugs, cap and rotor, radiator, all new trans seals, new drive shaft ujoint and gebo. Mileage on the car is unknown... odometer says around 242k but that is the cluster from the parts e32. Call with any questions.

1983 BMW 533i e28 - $4500 (Glover park)

Selling my fairly unique 5 speed 1983 533i (e28). The car is in the great shape. Many things have been done to the car (his name is Freier) over the years. Most recently two new front tires, 20 mm H&R rear spacers. The car has 17 inch rims from e38. It has navy blue leather seats and salon is in great shape. As you can tell am am a huge car enthusiast, the car has a lot love put in it; M effects, including rear spoiler, M door sills.
There car does use a little oil and has some undercarriage rust (zero visible rust).
I am sure I am forgetting to mention many great things about the car.

$1500 seems high for a car that might not be driveable to the next town. Then again who am I to talk...I paid $1800 for a car that almost immediately needed a new battery and a new master & slave cylinder....

I probably need to go look anyway. While I can't handle the project car I have now I desperately want what appears to be cosmos or cirrus blau. Sucker for this blue, if that is what this is. Only problem is I bet this car is more rusty than my current E28. Only one way to find out.

1986 BMW 535i E28 Euro

I have for sale a beautiful example of a fully euro converted BMW 535i E28.
This is the more rare 535i and it is a manual 5 speed. Most E28s were automatic, and more commonly 528e version.

The story of this car started as a very clean stock example of a US version 535i with a binder of maintenance records
dating back to almost the beginning. All maintenance records have been recorded and will be included in the purchase.

The car came as alpine white exterior with cardinal red interior featuring comfort seats and power everything.

I am an aircraft mechanic professionally and restore/build older BMWs in my free time. After purchasing the car in St. Louis
with 240k miles I drove it all the way down to Savannah Ga without any hiccups. Drove great with tons of power, never overheating,
and great on gas mileage.

Once I got it back to savannah I began to do a complete inspection and even though this had such a great documented history,
with all its bushings and ball joints recently replaced within the last 30k miles. I decided to start with a clean slate.

Ordered all new bushings, ball joints, control arms, end links, tie rods, idler arm, pitman arm, subframe connecting arms, and
brand new BC weld in coilovers. Everything was replaced brand new and alignment done immediately after.

While I was under the car I replaced rear sway bar end links, and fuel filter.

Next I was on the hunt for all REAL OEM BMW euro parts. After a long time and 1000s of dollars. I was able to get rid of all the
ugly US spec parts, and build a euro converted E28. The list of parts below is what comes on the car.

-Chrome Euro bumpers
-Euro headlights w/ grills
-Euro headlight washers w/ spray nozzle (motors are present but not hooked up)
-Complete mint condition Taurusrot M5 interior including manual sport seats (not terrible electric)
-Electric seat center console delete
-M5 black headliner
-Euro M5 side mirrors with driver side blindspot in mirror
-Euro OBC computer in german
-Euro overhead computer checker in german
-Euro heating/air conditioning panel in german and Celsius

The gauge cluster is in perfect working condition. A lot of times the gears go bad in these. Odometer reads 249k miles. But dont let
that scare you with the amount of maint that has gone into it. New gaskets everywhere, mustang 5.0 injectors, rebuilt MAF flapper.

I wouldnt be nervous to drive this car anywhere. I drove it from St. Louis, Missouri all the way to savannah. I have taken trips to
Jacksonville and back with no problems.

This is a great running car, in excellent condition, with an excellent service history, not to mention the amount of rare german parts.
I have never received so many compliments on the interior. Good condition E28 535i's in manual are becoming harder and harder to come by.

Easily the most poorly executed bumper conversion I've ever seen. Not a single US bumper hole even attempted to be filled or covered. It doesn't even have a Euro valance, so it has no turn signals, parking lights or fogs up front anymore. It's sad how lazy people are these days, cutting corners like that.

WTT 1987 BMW 528e (Tacoma)
Looking to trade my Beemer. Haven't had it too long and I love it but I miss owning an Audi more than I love owning my E28. Here's some basic info on it. It's old and shows it. The paint is in pretty good condition for the age (silver). The trunk doesn't open, dunno why. The driver side head light comes and goes. Probably a bad connection. Haven't looked into it much. There is front end body damage. Previous owner did something stupid that ended up ripping off the front bumper. Put it back on but it doesn't fit quite right. It is a five speed. Second gear can be a little stubborn but it's nice other than that. The clutch is good. Power windows and seats all work. All gauges work. Interior is decent besides the torn up back seat. The hood lift supports are shot so I use a tiny vacuum to hold the hood up. Heat and ac both work. Brakes need to be changed, I plan on doing that. Just changed the oil, cap and rotor. Tires are kinda low but still have tread. There's tons of other stuff I'm forgetting but it's not all bad. Oh, it's straight piped from the cat back. I think it sounds lovely but you may think different. Just sea foamed via vacuum hose last night. Doesn't like warm starts, but doesn't stall. Just acts like it's going to. Anyway, I'm really only interested in Audis. Old, new, awd or fwd, don't matter to me as long as it runs and drives, has a clean title and is a 5 speed. Open to other trades too, just let me know what you have. Not really looking to sell. Hit me up with offers and maybe we'll strike a deal. Willing to meet up. Thanks for looking. BMW E28 M5 - $8500 (Chula Vista)



1988 US specification E28 M5 equipped with S38 engine with 175424 miles. With the exception of Bilstein HDs (Self Leveling Suspension was deleted), Dinan chip, Style 42 wheels, and K&N intake filter; everything else is original. This car runs strong and very fun to drive. She needs a paint job and the exhaust tips are missing. The rear trunk lid spoiler and M5 decal are removed for paint preps.
