I'm not sure I've ever seen a Golf Yellow US 530i. Probably available only in 1975. I recall when the 530s first came to the US and the cover car on Road Test magazine was green, not golf yellow. I might still have that magazine stored somewhere...

In this shot alone you can see three different shades of Bronzit in 5 of the panels.


In this shot you can see that the tops of the doors don't line up. You can also see that the trunk lid is a different color than the left rear fender and the gaps aren't even between the fender and the trunk. Look at the left and right side gaps.



Here you can also see the slight difference in the coloration of the 2 doors. In the rest of the shots the photographer is trying to over expose the images so the color variances wash out.

1987 bmw 528e odometer: 156000 automatic transmission

alrighty so up for sale is my 87 528e auto. ill have the title in my hand in about a week or two so be patient. i dont have to sell this so if my asking price is not met, buy a different car. price is 2000. only rust on car is some minor surface rust on rear subframe and two small rust holes at the bottom corner of each window. all the glass is good. water pump, timing belt, and thermstat were just done by a mechanic a few months ago(have reciepts). idles fine. drives great. cardinal red interior in great condition(drivers seat has 2 small tears under your butt). doesnt burn oil. the picture shown is when it used to have enkies. they are long gone. it is currently on bottle caps with 2 brand spanking new 185 65's up front, and some 195 70's in the back with very good tread. 2 more brand new 185 65's will be included in the sale.

cons- windshield washer fluid tank is taken out
power steering fluid was leaking from where the hose connects to the pump so i took the belt off.
leaks a drop of coolant after about 30 minutes of running, ill look into that but its nbd
needs battery which i think i might have.
paint is faded.

Serials? Who cares what a carfax says? If a carfax says it's been in an accident, then it has been in an accident. If the carfax says it hasn't, then it MAY have been in accidents. The only way to know is to look. These photos were very revealing; I doubt the seller (used car dealer) even has enough competence to realize this or I doubt he would have posted such clear photos that provide so much evidence. In addition to what others have noticed, that cloth is pretty darned worn for a mere 70k miles. It should look new, so I suspect the mileage is incorrect. Also, the dash is cracked. When these cars have 70k miles on them, whether cloth or leatherette or leather, my experience is that is still looks new. At least that was true for the cloth, leatherette, and leather E28s that I have purchased...

This car was so out of whack, it was crazy. It must be a real shitbucket. Oh, the other telltale sign that this car has been in an accident and/or with higher than 70k miles is that the cosmoline has been removed from the engine bay.

Well, shit, if the airbags didn't deploy. No biggie.

I almost spit out my drink when I read this. Thanks a bunch. But technically, since SRS was, in fact, an option on our E28s (there's a very interesting chapter in my factory manual on how to service the airbags), it IS possible that the airbags didn't go off... but of course, the wrong steering wheel is on this car if it did have SRS. So, of course, technically, Chris is right again.

1972 bmw 2002 Tii - $24500 manual transmission

I am thinking about selling my 72 Tii (registered in 73 vin #2763160). The car is an Original CA car which I purchased from a reputable BMW dealer in 2012. Original color is Baikal blue but it has been repainted in Fjord/Baikal combination. Car was painted due to sun damage from CA. The Tii has the original seats (looks great), carpeting (looks great), Nardi steering wheel ($1250), matching Nardi shiftter ($500), rare sunroof and air conditioning, original radio, uncut door panels, stock wheels. I have upgraded the following parts : wheels to two piece BBS wheels, Zender fron spoiler, Alcantara style leadliner in black. New front and rear roundel badges, new front and rear winshield rubber gaskets + chrome strips, Euro turn signals. All stock items will be included along with the upgrades.

The car has been recently serviced ( 3 months ago) with Bav auto hig performance wires, new plugs, OEM Mahl filter, radiator flushed, oil changed. Runs strong and no SMOKE!!

Radio needs rewiring, AC rewiring from inside. I may get these two taken care off prior to the sale or discount it from the asking price. Make me an offer. starting a family and have to limit the toys.

Here’s an opportunity to own an incredible Concours Winning Factory Soft Top FJ40 Landcruiser. This FJ40 received a 3-year complete bare metal nut and bolt restoration to the highest standard. The restoration was completed in 2013. It has been driven 151 miles since being finished

This thing is only $33K now with about 6 hours to go on the auction. A total steal given it would go for $80-100k easily at a big-name auction. I be there reserve is closer to $75k (it better be or the seller is missing out).

So, new development. A guy came to look at this car today. After finding that the battery was dead we were able to jump start it, it seemed to be running fine. He took it for a test drive around the block several times, then it sputtered a few times then died. So it has been pushed back to the spot where it has sat for the past year. I have no clue, and have lost all motivation to do anything more, maybe your a mechanic and know BMW quirks ?

Hi, I'm selling a BMW 535is from 1987 that has floorpan rust, and does not shift into gear currently. The engine is great - no headgasket failure or leakage, the car has 26x,xxx and the transmission is a solid Getrag that shifts with no problems. Title in hand, registration and inspection both still valid (emissions till late fall, inspection till June), NEEDS TO BE TOWED, see below

Good aspects:
The car includes Polk MOMO marine-grade 6x9" speakers and 4.5"/1.0" combo speakers, as well as an Alpine Headunit/CD/Aux, an MTX 12" sub, and an older Alpine amp - At stock this is worth roughly 1400 alone.
The engine has no oil leaks
The exhaust is a recent-owner installed Flowmaster
The subframe hardpoints are intact
Bodywork is intact and 6/10 dent-free
Royal Blue
3.0L Inline 6
5 Speed Manual gearbox

Bad aspects:
Floorpan rust is severe but not dangerous
Clutch slave cylinder has failed (quite common issue with e28s) and needs to be replaced
(New Part ~40-70$)
so car will not go into gear
Idles a bit low/rough
Will need to be towed
Other electronics have failed - A/C, 1 rear window, horn, seat adjust - some of these are relays

This car is being sold as is and OBO. Keep in mind that the audio equipment - fully functioning - is 3/4th of this price used, so please - serious offers only.
